Davao is home to some of the best cacao beans in the world. For years now, chocolate produced from Davao cacao has been one of the most sought after chocolate in the world. From high end, high quality expensive chocolates to mass produced candy bars, Davao has been supplying the world with fine chocolates.
It is fitting that SM City Davao organized the first ever Davao Chocolate Festival. From September 12 to 14, 2014, chocolate lovers were delighted with chocolates, free samplings, a chocolate dessert making competition, and even more chocolates at the SM City Davao Annex Event Center.

Local chocolate producers and chocolatiers offered their best chocolate bars, callets, baking chocolates, bonbons, pralines, and other chocolate products. Some of the exhibitors were Kablon Farms, Theo and Philo, Malagos Chocolates, Cacao de Davao, The Chocolate Bean, Cacao de Davao, and Coco Dolce.
