Belo Medical Group is undoubtedly the biggest and most popular brand in the Philippine beauty industry. And they have arrived in Davao via their eleventh clinic, located at Abreeza Ayala Mall. It is their first clinic in Mindanao.

Coincidentally, the Belo Medical Group is celebrating their 25th Year Anniversary this 2015. To celebrate these two milestones, the Belo Medical Group is hosting the Belo Festivale from August 10 to 12, 2015.

The Festivale is a Belo Beauty Fair that showcases the brand story of the Belo Medical Group and its most popular celebrity endorsers.

The Belo Festivale opened with a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony and a Grand Launch graced by Ms Cristalle Belo Henares, Managing Director of the Belo Medical Group.

Through the Festivale, the Belo Medical Group extends its gratitude to their Davao clientele which have been supportive of Belo since it opened just last February 2015.

At the Festivale, guests can see read and know the success story of the Belo Medical Group, take photos with larger than life photos of their favorite Belo celebrities, and avail of Belo’s products and services.

On August 12, no less than Dra. Vicki Belo, CEO and Founder of the Belo Medical Group, will be at the Belo Festivale. She will be accompanied by one of the Philippines’ most respected actors and Belo endorser, Mr Piolo Pascual.

Did you know Davao’s Kadayawan Festival is the only major festival in the Philippines that is not rooted in Christian feast? Rather, it is a thanksgiving celebration that features the unique melting pot culture of Davao. It gives tribute and highlights the 10 tribes of Davao, the source of Davao’s rich history, arts, and culture.

In celebration of Kadayawan 2015, Marco Polo Davao shines the spotlight on Davao’s unique arts and culture through a unique Kadayawan Art Exhbit. The exhibit features Davao’s culture expressed through the modern arts of fashion design and photography.

The Nominees of the Search for Outstanding PWD in Mindanao 2015

On July 17, 2015, the spotlight was focused on 8 Outstanding Mindanaoans. Their commonality? They have all achieved awesome feats and they are all Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). They are instruments of change in the lives of others and in their communities. Through their careers and advocacies, they have given inspiration to other PWDs and other Mindanaoans, as well.

They were given recognition during the Search for Outstanding PWD of Mindanao 2015 organized by Mr. Naprey Almario of the Behind the Rolling Chair. The Awarding Ceremony was held on July 17 at The Annex of SM City Davao. It was held in celebration of the 37th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week.

The finalists of the Search for Outstanding PWD of Mindanao 2015 are:

  • Ms Maricel Fornis,
  • Ms Shirlyn Macasarte,
  • Mr Ramil Jaictin,
  • Ms Geraldine Gonzaga,
  • Mr James Infiesto,
  • Mr Rene Aaron,
  • Mr Rannie Gimeno, and
  • Mr Joel Escol.

The finalists were nominated by their peers. A panel of judges were present during the Awarding Ceremony to determine who among the finalists is the Most Outstanding PWD of Mindanao 2015.

The University Fair opens today, July 9, 2015 and will run for three days until July 11. Academic and technical institutions from Davao and from around the country will showcase their academic programs.

This will give attendees to expand their choices beyond what is already accessible to them in Davao.

The University Fair is also a good venue for students to know available academic choices from Davao institutions, without the hassle of visiting different campuses. Ateneo de Davao University, Davao Doctor’s College, University of Immaculate Conception, Fashion Institute of Design and Arts, Institute of International Culinary and Hospitality Entrepreneurship, Joji Ilagan Career Center Foundation, MOST Institute of Davao, Philippine Women’s College, University of Mindanao, and the University of the Philippines in Mindanao will also exhibit their academic programs.

Davao Food Appreciation Tour (DFAT) is the flagship project of a small group of Davao Bloggers. DFAT began in 2008 as a project to entice bloggers and tourists to visit Davao City and try the various food and culinary delights that local restaurants have to offer.

Davao region is one of the country’s food baskets with an abundance of fruits and vegetables, fresh seafood, affordable meals, and a wealth of restaurants offering memorable food experiences.

Every year, Davao plays host to a food and travel bloggers from all over Philippines. Since 2008, DFAT has provided exciting gastronomic experiences to its participants with fun tours and exciting adventure stops on the side.
