Every year, partyphiles come to Davao for the most awaited music festival in the city. The one that started it all. Unfortunately, we missed it in 2016. The good news is Carte Blanche 2017 is back in time for the Kadayawan Festival.

Launched in 2013, Carte Blanche is the first EDM Music Festival in Mindanao. Year after year, Carte Blanche delivers a party that is much talked about for months. From the lineup to the hyped atmosphere replete with confetti and memorable sidelights, Carte Blanche was the party to go. Even for non-partygoers. After a one year of absence, everybody is ready for another Carte Blache. One last time.

On August 19, all roads lead to Lanang Business Park. Party gates will open at 5 pm.

We’re almost halfway through 2017 and just around the corner is the King of Festivals, Kadayawan 2017. Already, the City of Government of Davao has held the Launch of Kadayawan 2017.

Once again, Davao City celebrates Kadayawan with a theme relevant to Davaoeños and the current situation in Mindanao: “Stand Tall. United. Resilient.”

Kadayawan is a unique festival experience because it is the only major festival in the Philippines that is non-religious in nature. It is a thanksgiving celebration that highlights the harvest of Davao region. More importantly, Kadayawan puts the spotlight on Davao’s indigenous people.

Call for Volunteers for The Mind Museum’s A Glass of the Sea Exhibition

The Mind Museum is coming to Davao. And they are calling on volunteers for “A Glass of the Sea Exhibition.”

The Mind Museum’s “A Glass of the Sea: An Exhibition on the Coral Triangle” will be held at the Abreeza Ayala Mall from this April 30 to May 4, 2016.

It is a showcase of the marine ecosystem of the Verde Island Passage. It is a strait between Mindoro and Luzon, located between Batangas, Oriental and Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon. It covers 1.14 million hectares and is considered as the “center of the center” of marine biodiversity in the world. It is important to know its significance in our ecosystem and the value of protecting it.
