Renowned Davao painters Kublai Millan and Vic Secuya have collaborated with each other and the ABS-CBN Bantay Bata 163 Foundation to mount a two-man show for the benefit of the foundation. Dubbed as “Spirit of Davao,” the exhibit features paintings of flowers in pastel by Secuya, and colorful abstract depictions of Davao life by Millan.
Secuya, is a Davao visual artist, well-known for his paintings of nature, flowers, and still life. Meanwhile, Millan is more popularly known for his giant sculptures around the city, also highlighted in the Davao People’s Park and in his own inn, Ponce Suites.
The “Spirit of Davao” exhibit is on display at the second floor of Museo Dabawenyo until September 17, 2009.
Wow! I’ve always admired the works of Kublai. I hope I can view that exhibit.
It’s a really nice exhibit. 🙂
