Have a sweet tooth? Treat yourself to something delicious. The good news is there are a lot irresistible desserts around Davao. Bakeshops, desserts shops, food entrepreneurs, and home bakers are aplenty. Problem is it can get confusing. So we bring you here our favorites and recommendations so can better choose the best ones to suit your budget and your taste. These may not necessarily be the best Davao Desserts but we can assure you all these are personally picked and endorsed by Davao Bloggers.
Classic Davao Desserts
Let’s start off with two favorites by many who grew up in Davao City.
Plain and simple. But definitely not boring. We will never get tired of Bistro Rosario’s Butter Roll. This is Miah‘s favorite. And she shares that it is her daughter Miel’s favorite, as well. Miel can even finish off an entire roll on her own. We’re pretty sure Miel is not the only one who can finish this entire roll on their own.
We also love their cakes. We highly recommend their Mango Charlotte Cake and their pretty Ribonette Cake. These are perfect for special occasions. Or to make ordinary days special.
Bistro Rosario is open for dine in and takeout. Contact them at +6382-2217780. Follow them on Facebook at fb.com/bistrorosariodvo.
Cecil’s Bakeshoppe
Another Davao homegrown bakery that we recommend is Cecil’s Bakeshoppe.
Nep-C of the Pop Blog picks their Eclair as one of her favorites. And we agree. It is the perfect mix of pastry, cream, and chocolate. This is priced at just P35. And it is easy to find. Just drop by any of their branches. More info below.
Meanwhile, our Editor Ria of Kusina Maria Blog recommends her favorite Mocha Cake. Mocha Chiffon Cake frosted with mocha buttercream. A treat for mocha lovers. A slice is only P70 and an entire cake is only P700.
Cecil’s is open for takeout and delivery. Follow them on Facebook at this link. Send them a message to inquire or order.
Popular Spots for Davao Desserts
In recent years, there has been more cafes and specialty dessert shops established here in Davao. Among these, there are a few that we consider our favorites. And Davao Bloggers agree with us. Here are some of our recommended cakes and pastries from these Davao Desserts Shops.
Annipie
Annipie originally opened as a cinnamon shop. They are still known for their cinnamon rolls. But they have increased their offerings to include a variety of specialty cakes.
Clea notes that any of Annipie’s cakes could make anybody’s day better. Olivia picks the Salted Caramel Sans Rival as one of her favorites. We also recommend the Mocha Sans Rival and the Pistachio Sans Rival.
Annipie is open for takeout and deliveries. Their main branch is located along Quimpo Boulevard, near corner Terminal Exit Road, Ecoland, Matina. Contact them at +63922-8608670. Follow them on Facebook at fb.com/AnnipieBakeryCafe and on Instagram @AnnipieBakeryCafe.
Milky
We also love Milky Cakes and Sweets.
Mille Crepe is the top favorite of Gem of Pages Flipper. It is a layered cake made with crepes. In between are whipped cream with mangoes mixed in as filling.
Their Brownie Bites, Cheescake Bites, and Silvanas are also great as take home and pasalubong treats.
Milky is open for takeout and deliveries. They have branches at Gaisano Mall, SM City Davao, and SM Lanang Premier. Contact them at +63945-2305788. Follow them on Facebook at fb.com/milkydairyfresh and on Instagram @MilkyCakesandSweets.
Alor’s
Desserts should be as delicious as they are pretty. Alor’s desserts are always pretty and delicious.
Ria recommends both the Rainbow Cake and the Fruity Fluff Cake. Both are gorgeous and perfectly sweet. These are great centerpieces for birthdays and other special occasions.
Alor’s is open for takeout and special orders. Contact them at +6382-2225577. Follow them on Facebook at fb.com/YummyAlors and on Instagram @YummyAlors.
Lachi’s Sans Rival Atbp
And of course, we cannot talk about Davao desserts without mentioning our ultimate favorite: Lachi’s.
We have previously shared all our Lachi’s favorites. Our top picks are the Cheesecakes and the Sans Rival. Among their cakes, Athina picks the 5 Chocolate Torte as her favorite.
Lachi’s Main Branch in Marfori Heights is open for takeout and deliveries. Their branches at SM City Davao and at Tulip Drive are also open. Contact them at +63916-9841183. Follow them on Facebook at fb.com/LachisDavao.
Favorite Filipino Desserts
We must not miss out on our favorite Filipino desserts.
Let’s start with Ria’s go-to kakanin store: Stella’s Cuisine. Their bilao sets are sulit and delicious. We love their Sapin-sapin, Kutsinta, and Palitaw. We also recommend their Binignit (Ginataang Bilo-Bilo).
And speaking of Binignit, Ria loves the Sampelot by Lito’s Grill. Sampelot is the Kampampangan version of Ginataan. Lito’s Grill is also popular for their Champorado made with luscious Davao tablea. And yes, Ria loves that, too. Sampelot and Champorado are available in limited quantities on selected days only.
Stella’s Cuisine in Toril is open for takeout. Their branches at SM City Davao and downtown are open for takeout. Follow them on Facebook at fb.com/StellasCuisineDavao.
Lito’s Grill along Tulip Drive (near SM City Davao) is open for takeout. Contact them at +63942-8254867. Follow them on Facebook at fb.com/LitosGrill.
Cold Delights
No list of Davao’s best desserts is complete without mentioning Aling Foping’s Halo-Halo.
Everyday is a good day for Halo-Halo. Especially when the weather is humid. Davao weather usually is. We love Aling Foping’s because of their finely shaved ice. And because we can choose to customize our Halo-Halo as we like them.
Another frozen dessert you should try is Balik Bukid‘s Tsokolate Islands. Tablea Ice Cream in between fluffy puff pastry. It is drizzled with table and topped with nuts. Superb. A chocolate lover’s dream come true.
Aling Foping’s Halo Halo at Matina Town Square and their branches at SM Lanang Premier and at Abreeza Ayala Mall are open for takeout and deliveries. Follow them on Facebook at fb.com/AlingFopingsHaloHalo. Contact them at +6382-2851203 for inquiries.

More Favorite Desserts
Here are more of our favorite sweets and desserts.
We always love a good Ensaymada. We highly recommend the Ensaymada of Baked by Joyce. It is soft and fluffy. And smothered with butter and topped with Quezo de Bola. Perfect with coffee, sikwate, or tea. Their Chocolate Chip Cookies are also sure to delight any cookie lover.
SP of IamSpecials loves the Mango Snow Cake by Out of Nowhere Kitchen. It is sweet with the tangy, fruity taste of mangoes. This mango cake is perfect with a cup of hot coffee. Get a slice of this if you love mangoes. Or maybe an entire cake?

New Dessert Shops to Try
And now for some new favorites. Roxanne loves Desserts Bar.
It is one of Davao’s newest spots. Roxanne loves their Dark Chocolate Cookies and the Red Velvet Crinkles. She also recommends their New York Cheesecake. And their Matcha Almond Cupcake is a must-try.
Finally, we recommend In the Oven.
Ria and Athina are big fans of In the Oven’s Banana Muffins. The muffin is perfectly moist. The banana flavor is assertive but just enough. The Banana Muffins with Cream Cheese are great. Buy a box or two.
