Cafe Marco re-launched on July 8 with a bang as it hosted a grand feast for their loyal clients, members of the media, and other VIPs. With inspired words from company representatives, the appetites of the invited guests were whetted with promises of better, more delicious, and more exciting dishes from the chefs of Cafe Marco.
And when the buffet tables finally opened, the guests were not disappointed. There were rows and rows of dishes that would put any foodie into a state of indescribable happiness.
Samplers of the new 6 six buffet cycles prepared by Marco Polo Executive Chef Ed Tuazon and his team abound the buffet tables. There was sushi and sashimi, gyozas and dumplings, tempura, rolls, soups, and salads. Diets were abandoned with tempting dishes of paella, pasta, chicken, beef, pork, seafood, and lamb. And not to be missed were roast Peking duck, a roast rack of US prime rib, and a saddle and baron of lamb. All served with lip-smacking sauces and side dishes.
Kids and adults alike gravitated to the dessert buffet which was filled with a variety of cakes and pastries, specialty ice cream, various creme brulee concoctions, and a halo-halo bar.
The buffet highlighted the best and most fresh fruits, vegetables, and meats that Davao has to offer. It was indeed a most fitting way to celebrate the re-launch of the new Cafe Marco. Exciting. Tempting. And uniquely Davao.
