A few minutes boat ride away from Davao City is the still being constructed but already open Blue Jaz Beach Resort which boasts of a wide beach frontage, swimming pools, cottages, and water slides.
Most of the resort’s amenities are not yet finished but the main pool and the pool with the mini-slide already gave tons of fun. Imagine how much more fun it would be once the big slides and the other attractions are finished and open for the public.
The resort was full of people when we went last Saturday, but it didn’t feel overcrowded. The property is very spacious. If you’re not staying overnight, you can avail one of the many picnic tables and cook in the grilling station. Wasn’t able to take a peek of the overnight cottages though.
It’s a fun place to go to with family and friends. 🙂 Almost hassle-free too. And yup, they have free Wi-Fi over there.
The boat ride from the Maryknoll Beach Resort in Lanang to Blue Jaz costs P30, while the day tour entrance to the resort costs P90.

i really want to visit this place pag makauli ko diha sa pinas.
I’ve been looking forward to going to Blue Jaz since I heard about it a few months ago. My sister-in-law went last week and was not impressed. She reported the slide barely carry enough water for you to slide down them and they are really still under construction.
blue jazz is so very nice.first i been their i’m so amaze the beautiful place.
Blue Jazz is a big disappointment… the resort was ok but the service is HORRIBLE and they keep running out of food… don’t understand why they bother having a menu… I will not recommend this place to anyone.
i agree with elle… i came all the way from manila to visit samal island last week and we decided to stay in blue jaz because most of the people there recommends this resort… the place was nice but not what were expecting of. its just the same settings of pools and garden like what we could find in laguna. the service is so grrrr… the staffs there are not accomodating.. i will not go back here again ever… its a curse!!!
I totally agree with cheese and Elle. Its not a good resort…
how much sa blue jazz?
Blue Jazz is so disappointing. Every move entails payment (selected cottage, service charge for food, cannot bring baon or else you pay corkage, salbabida, etc.)… so expensive and not that good a place. The big slides are ok but after a few times of going back, it becomes boring.
Definitely not going back to Blue Jazz. Paradise is still the best for me.
I’ve been to blue jazz last month January 2010 for 2 nights, I was really disappointed also. There room dont have a ref, cable tv and the phone line is always busy, your cannot made a call to there information desk. There staff is not accomodating specially in the bar area, it will takes you 20-30 minutes sitting in the table and you need to call them before the will come to serve you. They seems scared to the people and the always turn back at you after the service so you need to call them again if you need something and it will takes more minute again before you will get there attention. I will not go back at that resort, never. It is the worst resort i’ve ever been.
hi guys. i can’t apologize enough for hat you have experienced in the resort. however, i hope you could give it another try. we seriously considered all your negative comments and made major adjustments. God speed!
