One of the highlights of the many highlights of the recently concluded Davao Food Appreciation Tour was the Skyrider in Eden Nature Park. It was a very exciting and adrenaline-pumping ride according to those who did ride it.

Honey Bear
Last Saturday, Davao bloggers had a fun time at Honey Bear Chicken House. The food was great and as usual eating with such a great group of blogger friends made it an unforgettable experience. It’s definitely a good preview of how things are going to be during this week’s Davao Food Appreciation Tour.
Our meal started right with Cheese Sticks perfectly fried and gooey. It was served with a light chili dip which contrasted well with the cheese. It was followed by fish and chips. The fish was juicy, and tasty. Delicious!
Cafe Andessa
If it’s good home-cooked comfort food that you want, then you must definitely drop by Cafe Andessa. Their food is served amidst a country house ambiance which reminds me of Baguio, Tagaytay, or even nearby Marilog.
Their Chicken Andessa (PhP 100) is chicken flavored perfectly and grilled right. Meanwhile, the Chicken Adobo’ng Bicol (PhP 75) is greasless chicken adobo. I think they cook the adobo with soy sauce vinegar, and spices. Then, they deep fry it which makes the chicken skin crunchy. It’s not oily though. I wonder how they did that? Their Laing (PhP75) has a slight spiciness to it. You can taste the coconut milk (gata) and the gabi more, rather than the chilli.

Caffe Vivere
After the first time I ate at Caffe Vivere, I immediately became a fan. The place has great ambiance and serves great food. Their prices are not high, but they never scrimp on the ingredients. In fact, I like the place so much that I joined their speed dating event. Last week, me and my blogger friends visited the place for our Davao Bloggers Food Trip. There were 6 of us, none went home disappointed.
Our scrumptious lunch began with Buttered Garlic Bread served with Salsa Verde (basil pesto) and Sun-dried Tomatoes Pesto. The bread was very buttery, YUMMM! And the sauces were perfect. They were not too oily and didn’t have any overwhelming garlic taste.
