MADE SIMPLE Davao offers a vegetable-forward dining experience. They serve Small Plates and Dishes for Sharing, mostly vegan dishes. Seafood and chicken options are available. Made Simple is best experienced with an open appreciation for their vegetable-forward dishes.

First, start your meal with an appetizer. We love their Enoki. The mushroom is crisp and tasty. And the dipping sauce perfectly complements the mushroom.

Then, enjoy a salad. The Figs and Mushroom Salad is delicious and filling. Just the right balance of flavors and textures.

Dinner at Made Simple was interesting. Quite memorable. Our favorites are the ENOKI, BURNT TOMATOES, and the MUSHROOM SCALLOPS. We also love the WHISKEY SOUR and the BASIL MARGARITA. PLDT Smart supports Davao Underground Cabling

PLDT Supports Davao Underground Cabling

PLDT – Smart, the leading integrated telecommunications company in the Philippines continues to support the Davao Underground Cabling Project. The project aims to remove overhead wires and cables from the streets of Davao City.

Phase 2 of the Davao City Underground Cabling Project was marked by a ceremony at Magsaysay Avenue.

PLDT Smart supports Davao Underground Cabling

Representatives of PLDT and Smart joined the ceremony. Also present were government officials, representatives of Davao Light and Power Company (DLPC), and other telcos. The project requires DLPC and all telcos to convert their overhead lines to an underground system. This second phase of the project will be implemented in Davao’s Chinatown.

“The underground cabling project is a clear testament of a public and private partnership thatis undertaken with the welfare of the citizens in mind. Once completed, the project can boost businesses in Chinatown and further drive our city towards progress and development. Let us all continue to work together on initiatives and efforts towards acleaner, safer and sustainable Davao City.”

PLDT – Smart’s Commitment

Leading telco PLDT continues to deploy its extensive fiber infrastructure all over the country. As of the end of June 2023, it was at more than 1.1 million kilometers. The PLDT – Smart Group is also pushing initiatives to improve customer experience.

They are working to protect its physical assets, as well. PLDT is working with other telcos to spearhead the National Telecommunications Security Council. This is an informal alliance for the mutual protection of telecommunications infrastructure nationwide.

“PLDT and Smart will continue to support this Underground Cable Project of our local government, as we push for a cleaner and more beautiful Davao. This project also helps reduce pilferage of telco facilities, which ultimately leads to service outages. By
protecting and fortifying our physical infrastructure, we are able to continue providing

These cable clean-up and asset protection initiatives reinforce PLDT-Smart’s commitment as one of the founding members of the Digital Infrastructure group. After its cancellation in 2020, Palarong Pambansa 2023 is back. It is happening in Marikina from July 29 to August 5, 2023. DepEd and MILO® has partnered to deliver this year’s event.

About Palarong Pambansa 2023

Palarong Pambasa is an annual multi-sport event organized and governed by the Department of Education (DepEd).

It is the largest and most prestigious annual multi-sporting event in the country. The most talented young athletes from different regions compete in various sports disciplines. Sports include athletics, swimming, basketball, volleyball, baseball, and
football. Palaro serves as a launching pad for many promising champions.

Palarong Pambansa 2023 also serves a crucial role in the holistic development of young
athletes. The event also instills values of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and discipline among participants. It fosters a sense of pride and identity.

Student-athletes from all 17 regions of the Philippines participate in this event. Davao Region is represented by a 573-member delegation of athletes, coaches, and chaperones.

Philippine Seven Corporation (PSC), the exclusive licensor of 7-Eleven in the Philippines has installed their 2,000th ATM in the country. With this first 7-Eleven ATM in Davao, it is now more safe and convenient to do bank transactions. 24/7.

President and CEO of PSC Jose Victor Paterno shares “We started the expansion of our ATM network in the Visayas last June, and we now have over 150 ATMs installed across stores in Cebu City. Now, we are proud to provide ATM coverage in the island of Mindanao,marking our latest milestone in our effort to provide ATM convenience to
our communities nationwide.”

7-Eleven ATM in Davao

This milestone is made possible by a partnership with Pito AxM Platform, Inc. (PAPI), the local subsidiary of Japan’s Seven Bank, Ltd.

7-Eleven ATM Davao

In February 2020, PAPI partnered with PSC to install, operate, and maintain ATMs at 7-Eleven stores in the Philippines. As part of its commitment to sustainability, these ATMs are equipped to be cash-recyclers. Each 7-Eleven ATM adapts the ATM screen interface depending on the customer’s bank for familiarity and ensuring great customer experience.

Currently, cardholders of BDO and Land Bank, can still enjoy free withdrawals at 7-Eleven stores. Meanwhile other cardholders pay a P10 fee. This is the lowest charge in the market.
