Google, through Google Developers Group Davao (GDG Davao) invites the women and and men of Davao to join Women Techmakers Davao this Saturday.

Women Techmakers is a global event that hope to Engineer the Future. Women Techmakers is for women in the technology industry, who aspire to be in the technology industry, and who use or wish to use technology for their career advancement and business development. It “aims to raise awareness of innovative women leaders in technology and inspire others to join the field.”

Women Techmakers is designed to enable passionate, creative women to be leaders in the technology industry. It is a showcase of women leaders in the technology industry. It curates and creates a supportive community for women to connect with each other across the globe and to be inspired and encourage each other to realize their passions. Habitat Youth Build

Thousands of young Filipinos will converge today in 10 sites throughout the Philippines to join the Habitat for Humanity Youth Build 2015.

Today’s build is the fifth iteration of the Habitat for Humanity Youth Build pioneered by Habitat Philippines’ Youth Council. This year’s build will be simultaneously held across fifteen countries all over Asia-Pacific. In the Philippines, the main site will be in Mindoro, with youth builds happening in Bohol, Cagayaran de Oro, Cebu, General Santos, Navotas, Quezon City, and Davao.

The Habitat Youth Build aims to increase awareness, raise funds, mobilize volunteers, and gather supporters to build homes and give hope to some of over 4 million Filipino families who do not have access to decent shelter. The Habitat Youth Build gives youth volunteers and supporters the opportunity to be catalysts for poverty alleviation.
