I went back to Cafe Andessa. But this time, we were hosted by Sue Ann Orig as part of the Davao Food Trip.

The Davao Food Trippers ordered Ceasar’s Salad, Spicy Chicken Wings, Laing, Callos, Crispy Fried Buntot ng Tuna, Rosemary Grilled Chops, and Chicken Lollipop. Among these, the Chicken Wings and the Chops were the big hits. I also loved the Callos, while Blogie finished off most of the Buntot ng Tuna. All of their food were home-cooked, and didn’t scrimp on the ingredients.

We were already full but we couldn’t leave the place without having their innovative Pinoy desserts. We had their Tikoy Turon, Banana Turon Ala Mode, and Binutong with Tsokolate. Everything was sinful. But the highlight of the night was the Binutong which is Kuya Andrew’s favorite. It’s a sticky rice preparation similar to suman. It is served with tsokolate which you pour over it. YUM! YUM! YUM!
